Mention “salvation” and most people think that believing in the Lord confers salvation, and that means attaining God’s eternal salvation, because Romans 10:10 says, “For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.” In our eyes, by believing in the Lord Jesus in our hearts and acknowledging Him with our words, we are justified by faith and gain eternal salvation, so when the Lord returns, He’ll take us straight up into the kingdom of heaven.
